Description
The SC-EB-XX dampers are designed to be compatible with a variety of zone control and other HVAC applications where maintaining precise system static pressure between 0.08 and 0.80 inches of water column is critical.
As zone dampers close, increases in duct static pressure can occur. The round electronic bypass damper automatically opens to bypass this excess air, ensuring the system maintains the desired static pressure setpoint. In addition to the round models, rectangular electronic bypass dampers are also available in sizes from 8×8 inches up to 36×24 inches.
The SC-SPC-800 static pressure controller, which can maintain system static pressure from 0.08 up to 1.20 inches of water column, is used in conjunction with these bypass dampers. Beyond their primary function, these electronic bypass dampers can also serve as inline pressure reducing dampers to regulate static pressure within a duct system. For ease of installation, the dampers come factory wired and ready to be integrated into the HVAC system.
